Do you have a website or app that you want to test with users, but don’t want to go to the huge expense of hiring developers? You need to create a prototype for your product and there are a few prototyping tools, that I would highly recommend!
A prototype is a way of creating a mockup of how the ‘real thing’ will look, so real users can test it. This is a quick way to find out if your product is easy to use and will give you feedback on what you need to change.
I use a few different prototyping tools, depending on the Client budget and how much time we have. A few that I really like to use are Invision, Marvel and Axure. In a nutshell, they all do the same thing and that is provide you, the client with a working prototype to test with your end users in a simple and non-costly manner.
You may also have a few different ideas and to develop all these ideas – can be time-consuming. Prototyping allows you to create a few different mockups that you can simultaneously test, to see which is the best option to choose.
When you work with me, I will provide you with the best solutions and I have found these techniques best:
>> Work with real users. I can provide you users that fit your demographic, or if you have them already even better!
>> Create prototypes that we can actually develop into real functionality. Ideas are all great, as long as they will work.
>> Ensure you prototype has been designed as close to the ‘real thing’ as possible, you may want to hire me to work on your User Interface that way the feedback you receive, will be true to form.
